Five new ducks will hatch, each with a new name and personality. The ducks you have now will be gone for good, along with everything they have learned, their friendships and grudges, and everything lying in the garden.
Five small robot ducks live in this garden, and each one is driven by its own copy of a real fruit fly brain. That brain has 139,248 neurons and 2.7 million connections, mapped by the FlyWire project, and your browser simulates every neuron as it fires.
The ducks can smell, see and hear. They get hungry, thirsty, hot and sleepy. They make friends and hold grudges, and each one has its own personality. Tap a duck to follow it and watch its brain at work.
The garden has sound. It saves in this browser, and the ducks carry on growing older while you are away.
